What an amazing night! The Assore Sports Lounge was packed to capacity for an  evening of great music and great entertainment. Dr Mel Rosenberg proved to be a wonderful entertainer both vocally and with his sax. He successfully managed to engage the whole room to some great humour and kept everybody involved with his music. Dr Mel, actually a microbiologist in bad breath, had been visiting South Africa to hold seminars with pharmacists and dentists in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town. However, his other love of jazz music proved to be just as interesting and Dr Mel gave us tunes ranging from jazz classics to a few tracks from his new album “The Aroma Of You”. Dr Mel was accompanied by the Dr Marc Duby jazz trio from South Africa and Dr Marc showed us what an amazing talent he has on the double bass. Dr Mel and Dr Marc had never met before and after practising together for a half hour before the gig gave us a faultless evening of great music.
